Drop-in center for homeless individuals
Services:
- Intake, Assessment, VI-SPDAT – entry into HMIS system
- Case Management – Focus on Housing, Education, Employment, Well-Being, Substance Abuse
- Basic Needs: 3 meals/day; laundry, showers, hygiene, clothing closet, lockers
- Life Skills Groups daily: Fatherhood Works, Thinking4Change, Sista Circle, Pacific Art League Creative Expressions, Art for Success, Seven Challenges, Seeking Safety
- Overnight Respite 9a-8a for emergency sleeping shelter when unhoused
- Medical care through Valley Medical Center
- Outreach
Eligibility and referral process
Clients must be 14 years to 25 years old
Hours: Mon-Sat 9am-9pm, Sundays 9am-5:30pm

- Family counseling and reunification services
- Case Management and linkages to community-based resources
- Intake and assessment
- Daily life skills groups: Resident Council, Let’s Talk, Creative Expressions, Got Choices, Seven Challenges
- Individual counseling
- School/Education – in own home school district
- Social/Recreational Activities
- Medical care through Gardner Health Services
Eligibility and referral process
- Clients must be 12 years to 18 years old (18-year-olds must still be enrolled in high school)
- Hours: 24 hours per day 7 days per week
- Maximum length of Stay: 90 days

The Window: Providing a place to receive mail if you don't have an address, sandwiches, toiletries, service navigation

San Jose Catholic Worker/Casa de Clara
Casa de Clara is a transitional home for women and children experiencing homelessness.
The San Jose Catholic Worker also runs a free food distribution and mobile showers.
Anyone can come to “Showers to the People” without signing up ahead of time.
Call for shelter home availability.
- Mobile showers offered: Columbus Park every second and fourth Thursday of the month
- Door ministry: People experiencing homelessness can ring our doorbell for food, hygiene, clothing and blankets
Eligibility and referral process
Food distribution is for downtown San Jose area only. Call to find out if a person's location is
within range of the weekly food distribution. Anyone can come to “Showers to the People”
without signing up ahead of time. Call for shelter home availability.
