Reentry Resource Centers

Service hubs for successful change

The Office of Diversion and Reentry Services, with the help of its many partners, operates two Reentry Resource Centers in San Jose and Gilroy that provide services to help justice-involved people succeed. The two centers represent a robust network of County departments, local community-based organizations and law enforcement agencies who work collectively to provide streamlined access to services such as public benefits, medical and psychiatric care, drug and alcohol treatment, needs-based case management, legal assistance, housing assessments, and more. The San Jose facility also houses the Mission Street Recovery Station, which functions as an alternative to incarceration or an emergency department visit, for individuals under the influence of alcohol or other drugs or experiencing a mental health crisis.  The goal is to provide multiple services under one roof to reduce some of the barriers people face. Reentry Resource Center partners work together to empower Santa Clara County residents to create happy, healthy, and productive lives and to successfully re-establish themselves in the community.
