Mission Street Recovery Station
Drug, alcohol, and mental health triage and support services are provided. For individuals under the influence of alcohol or other drugs or experiencing a mental health crisis, the station is an alternative to incarceration or going to an emergency department. The goal is stabilization and linkage to service and treatment.
Mission Street Recovery Station - Horizon Services
The Mission Street Recovery Station, housed in the Reentry Resource Center in San Jose, is open to all Santa Clara County law enforcement agencies, emergency psychiatric services and all behavioral health providers contracted with the County of Santa Clara. Individuals must be referred by one of these agencies or providers. No walk-ins will be admitted. The stay is voluntary, and for up to 24-hours. The center provides stabilization and connection to resources.

Admission Criteria
- At least 18 years of age
- Under the influence of alcohol/other drugs and/or experiencing a mental health crisis
- Does not meet criteria for a 5150 hold
- Voluntary
- Medically stable — no acute medical conditions
- Ambulatory
- Not combative or physically violent
Transportation
Trained health staff can also assess and pick up individuals in the field.
