I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I currently serve the reentry population as a case manager with the New Opportunity Work (NOW) program. I joined the Goodwill of Silicon Valley family in 2020 after being a program participant striving to rebuild my life after being justice involved. As I have developed a passion for helping others to achieve goals as they rebuild their own lives, I am also taking classes to earn my Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-I) certification. I recently completed the Peer Mentorship program at the Reentry Resource Center with San Jose City College as well. Throughout this journey of struggles and triumphs, I realize that finding meaning in my work is the key to continuing to build a successful career.
