San Jose Evergreen Community College District (SJECCD)
SJECCD provides the following educational opportunity for reentry clients:
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Peer Mentor, a unit-bearing certificate program including four courses over two semesters. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate, which can be a valuable credential for securing employment as a peer mentor.
Eligibility and referral process
Clients can be referred through the Reentry Resource Center (RRC).
To be eligible, RRC client must be justice-involved and reside in Santa Clara County.
Peer Mentor class registration starts in July/August

Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE)
SCCOE provides the following educational opportunity for reentry clients:
Challenge Accepted Program – An alternative education program that allows reentry clients to complete credits and earn their high school diploma.
Eligibility and referral process
Clients can be referred through the Reentry Resource Center (RRC). To be eligible, RRC client must be justice-involved and reside in Santa Clara County.
